For my birthday, I went to a restaurant nearby where all the walls were covered with Hundertwasser pictures and staring at them along the evening made me want to paint again. Having not touched a paint brush for a good while, I thought copying one of the artist's paintings would help me go back into the swing of painting. So I started with The Big Way, a square painting looking like a mandala.

Pour mon anniversaire, je suis allée dans un restaurant, près de chez moi, qui arborait sur ses murs des reproductions de Hundertwasser, et passant ma soirée à les scruter m'a donné l'envie de me remettre à peindre. N'ayant pas touché un pinceau depuis un bon moment, l'idée m'est venue de copier un de ces tableaux, histoire de me remettre un peu dans le bain! J'ai donc commencé avec le tableau intitulé Le Grand Chemin, qui ressemble à un mandala.
Having taken pleasure of this first training, I then chose to go on to a second exercise with the tapestry called Dawn, which was more hard-working, but still fun.
Ayant pris plaisir à ce premier entraînement, j'ai choisi de poursuivre l'exercice avec cette fois une tapisserie dessinée par Hundertwasser, Aurore, qui m'a demandé un travail plus laborieux mais tout aussi plaisant.
